![]() It was cool, but lacked an emotional payoff. The war wasn't set up well and was more of a skirmish than a war. They are just there and have a moral compass to protect their home and that's it. I'm sure they represented something and a few extra drafts of the scripts could have given them an arc, a meaning, but no. The mods looked stupid, their aesthetic was so out of place. The Book of Boba Fett has had some amazing Star Wars in it, was fun and cool overall, but was also a flaming hot mess at times. It's a good representation of the whole season. It was great in concept, but suffered in execution. But overall it was a terrific episode that sets up Mando Season 3 as well as the finale of Book of Boba Fett.Įpisode 7: The final episode was cool, but also underwhelming. It rushes threw the whole prelude to gangster war and CGI Luke has flaws (a little in the face, a lot in the voice). It's jam packed with Star Wars goodness including Cobb Vanth, Cad Bane, Ashoka, and Luke Skywalker. It's a great episode.Įpisode 6: Excellent episode. Seeing Mando build his new ship was awesome. Lots of cool Mando stuff from black saber lore and trying, to actually seeing what the Empire did to Mandalore. So you just have to sit back and enjoy this episode. However, on second viewing it's clear that The Book of Boba Fett and the Mandalorian are part of the same story. At first viewing it was odd because Boba Fett is not in this episode and it's his show. The present day gangster war stuff was probably too rushed, but still very cool.Įpisode 5: This episode was terrific. The flashback was really cool with a lot of action. I was happy that the long drawn out sand people flashbacks seemed to be over and the present day story could continue.Įpisode 4: This episode actually has the last flashback which brings us up to speed. That being said this was an episode that I felt better about on a second viewing. From an aesthetic standpoint, they do not fit this series at all. The stuff with the Hutts was interesting.Įpisode 3: I genuinely dislike the "mods" and their bikes. This episode explains how Boba got to the way he was when we saw him in Mando Season 2. ![]() The train sequence with the Pikes was pretty rad. Seeing Fennic and Boba fight off space ninjas was fun.Įpisode 2: The flashbacks in this second episode were not boring like in the first episode. The big action sequence in the middle was pretty cool. Episode 1: The flashbacks are a too long and boring, but the rest of the episode was intriguing and exciting.
